One of my all time favorite museums in Michigan is offering an admission discount but for one day only.

According to the story from M-Live, the legendary Motown museum in Detroit is offering half off admission for Wednesday, April 25th.  The day is known as "Founders Day" which is the birthday of museum founder, Esther Gordy Edwards.

The day will also feature food trucks, various local vendors and performances.   The museum in Detroit is the original location of the studios that produced some of the most legendary recordings in the history of music.

The museum allows you to see the studio where it all happened.  You also get to see where their legendary quality control meetings took place.

It is a small museum but you are literally in awe of the studio when you think of all the major recordings that were produced there and all the artist who set foot in that studio.

It is worth the trip to Detroit to see it once.   The museum is going through an expansion that will expand the museum around the main existing buildings that will be completed in 2019.

The Motown Museum is located in Detroit on 2648 W. Grand Blvd.   Details on the museum and admission at their website.
