Michigan's lighthouses are certainly a tourist attraction around the state's shorelines, but there aren't any you can drink in, except this one.

Well to be fair, it's not really an old lighthouse that once guided ships to port or around a dangerous shoal. This lighthouse sits atop a bar in Bay City. The Lighthouse Lounge is located at the corner of Water Street and Lafayette Avenue steps from the banks of the Saginaw River.

Sadly, the lighthouse atop the building was lost in the last few years and the Lighthouse Lounge is not history.

A recently Google Street View shows no lighthouse topper to the building, but a faded sign on the back remembers the dive bar's history.

The Lighthouse Lounge was once known as a popular landmark when the pre-Interstate Dixie Highway passed through Bay City's South End.
