Ever since the opening of the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit many games for the Red Wings and Pistons have had a few empty seats.  The Pistons have figured out a way to cover the red.

According to the Detroit News, the Pistons have covered up many of the red seats for home games with black seat covers.

The covers are sponsored by Art Van and are a part of a partnership and has nothing to do with the recent passing of the companies founder.

If you have watched either a Red Wings or Pistons game on TV, you may have noticed the large amounts of empty red seats.   It has been a topic mentioned since the opening of the arena back in September.

At least for the Pistons games,  this covers up the red.

The seat covers are featured on the sidelines of the court but not behind the baskets. No word on if any of these covers will continue to be added.

As for whether or not we will see these covers during Red Wings games is not clear.  It looks to be just for the Pistons home games.
