The year was 1988. Regan was president. Tight-rolling your Z Cavariccis was a fashion trend spreading like wild fire.

And Kurt Cobain was making a mix tape.

When I say he was making a mix tape, I don't mean he just patiently waiting by the radio with his finger on the record button waiting for the first three notes of "Never Gonna Give You Up" to come on.
