Kalamazoo High School to Honor Military at Basketball Game

Loy Norrix High School offers a 'Salute to Military Service' at Friday night's home game and will honor 8 Kalamazoo area veterans.

It's "hoorah" and hoops as the Marines and soldiers of every branch of the armed forces will be recognized for their service to our country on Friday, February 15 at Loy Norrix High School's varsity basketball game.

In this case, a guard is not just a member of the basketball team that plays with a center and a forward. Those who have guarded our freedom, retired and active-duty servicemen and women are encouraged to attend and be celebrated for their travelling around the world.

The Loy Norrix Knights take on the Spartans of Lakeview (Battle Creek) with the military appreciation pagentry happening between the women and men's varsity games. The school shared the invitation on the Loy Norrix Athletics Facebook page, and as you can see the honorees will be feted sometime before 7pm.
