The Columbus, Ohio area is one of two national test markets for a new line of Big Mac sandwiches, the smaller Mac Jr and larger Grand Mac. And the Columbus area McDonald's could help but take a swipe at Michigan in rolling out the new Big Macs.

One of their advertising pieces reads "Testing Now in Central Ohio. Sorry, Michigan." Ouch.

The new sandwiches, if you want them after that burn, are the baby bear and papa bear to the Goldilocks of the Big Mac. The Mac Jr removes the inner bun layer and one of the beef patties while the Grand Mac ups the beef quotient to two 1/6 pound patties for a full 1/3 pound of beef.

In addition to Columbus, Dallas-Fort Worth is another test market for the new Mac Family. No word if McDonald's took shots at Houston or Austin when marketing the sandwiches in Big D.
