Michigan And Notre Dame Hockey To Play At Notre Dame Stadium

Back in May it was announced that the Big Ten Hockey rivals will play outdoors at Notre Dame Stadium.   The game is now set to take place in South Bend in January.

According to University of Notre Dame,  the game will be played on January 5th outside at Notre Dame Stadium.

The game is set to take place four days after the 2019 NHL Winter Classic that happens on New Year's Day.   The annual game will be in Notre Dame Stadium with the Chicago Blackhawks taking on the Boston Bruins.

Michigan and Notre Dame is a big football rivalry with the Irish getting the win earlier this year.   This matchup has also become a big college hockey rival as both teams recently played in the Frozen Four with Notre Dame winning 4-3.

Michigan is also scheduled to take part in the annual Great Lakes Invitational which takes place in Detroit on December 30th and 31st.
