The Kubiak farm, located between Fowlerville and Webberville, will stop harvesting hay, and host 20,000 people in September.

The farm was hand picked by country star and American Idol judge Luke Bryan to be part of his Farm Tour. It will be one of six family-owned farms nationwide to host a show.

The 40-acre farm has been owned by the Kubiak family for three generations. 20-year old Caleb Kubiak happens to be a huge fan of Bryan's, which led to a lot of disbelief when his crew called the farm back in 2019 to get permission to play there.

"Why would they call us?" Kubiak told the Livingston Daily.

"It makes me happy to see even though Luke Bryan might be famous, and there might be a lot of people that are going to be here, that people still support farms and that’s really what we need, because farmers are the backbone of the United States and the world."

Proceeds from the Farm Tour will benefit farm families by providing college scholarships.

A press release from Bryan's publicity team explained:

“After the challenges we have all faced in the last year with so many people losing their jobs, struggling to put food on their tables, food supply chains jeopardized, grocery stores struggling to keep food on the shelves in some areas, it is so apparent to me, and I hope everyone, why our farmers are truly the backbone of our country. They never stopped providing for all of us. Ever. It’s time to thank our farmers, once again.”

While the show set up will occupy the 40 acres devoted to hay, they also have 400 additional acres where they have 100 head of cattle and raise corn, beans and wheat.

Caleb hopes the concert benefits the region, and not just his farm. "Hopefully people will come to local stores and businesses that do need help."

Fowlerville is about half way between Detroit and Lansing in Livingston County.

Luke Bryan began his annual Farm Tour's in 2015, and postponed last year's tour due to CoVid-19.

Tickets for the show are available through Bryan's web site.
