Congratulations to Cincinnati Reds Third Baseman Todd Frazier, who won Tuesday night's Home Run Derby. The night saw new rules for the event. Did you like the new format?

I thought the pace of the event was faster.  I also like the head-to-head match ups instead of having the two teams hit.  The time outs that are allowed helped.  I always hated the derby when a player was obviously tired and ran out of gas.  The time outs helped the guys recharge and made the derby more interesting.

The only low point I saw is that the second hitter gets the advantage.  Maybe a re-seeded field after the first round next year?   I was also disappointed that Detroit Tigers Outfielder J.D. Martinez wasn't involved.  I like Manny Machado, but is he a better power hitter than J.D?

It was a step in the right direction and hope with a few tweaks it will be better next year.
