This Weekend Michigan State and Purdue will meet for the only time in the regular season in East Lansing.   During the game there will be a tribute to the former head coach of the Spartans.

According to M-Live,  the game this weekend will feature a tribute to Jud Heathcote, who spent 19 years as the head coach of Michigan State.

During his time in East Lansing Jud won the national championship with the team in 1979.    He passed way at the age of 90 back in August.

This will be the biggest game left in the season for the Number 4 Spartans who will play the Number 3 Boilermakers at the Breslin Center Saturday (February 10th).   Purdue is coming off their first Big Ten loss of the season against Ohio State.

The Spartans are coming off a tough road win in Iowa.  The Spartans are currently 11-2 in the Big Ten behind Ohio State and Purdue who are at 12-1

Tom Izzo will wear the classic green blazer like the one Jud would wear during games.  Former Purdue head coach Gene Keady is also expected to attend the game.

If you can't make it up to East Lansing for the game it is set to be featured on ESPN at 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
