Radio doesn't pay well, kiddies.  I'm just being honest here.  Sure, it's nice to get free concert tickets and movie passes and CDs, but at the end of the day, it would be even better to make enough money to be able to afford all of these things and not have it break the bank.

Now, don't feel bad for me.  I didn't get into radio for the money.  I got into (rock) radio because I LOVE rock n' roll.  And yes, my crappy paying job does have its moments, like free concert tickets, CDs, movie passes, etc...

But ya know what makes it all worth while, aside from getting on the air every day and playing rock n' roll and making dick and fart jokes?  The perks; the things money can't buy, like a one on one interview with mother f***ing King Diamond!

Being a massive King Diamond/Mercyful Fate, it was the biggest honor to talk with King, and he was cool enough to share it on his Facebook page too.  Being able to interview King, have the audio go global, and then see him live in the fall is my top moment of 2014.

Thanks to my boy Vince from Metal Blade for setting everything up, and of course, thanks to King for taking the time to make the call.

In case you somehow missed it, here's the conversation I had with King Diamond.  Enjoy

**By the way, Metal Blade did an incredible job reissuing the first two Mercyful Fate albums and a bunch of King Diamond albums on colored vinyl.  The packaging is magnificent, and the records sound freakin' killer!**

***Crap, I almost forgot.  Metal Blade also put out a really nice 2 CD greatest hits package as well called Dreams of Horror.  If you're new to King Diamond, it's a nice place to start.***
