If you were hoping to watch the final NFL Sunday Night game this weekend you will have to make other plans.

According to Fortune,  the league has cancelled the final Sunday Night game due to it falling on New Year's Eve.  Instead the league will feature games at 1 p.m. and 4:25 p.m. on Sunday.

Usually the league has a game with playoff contenders but the matchups wouldn't have presented a game with that scenario so no game.

There are no college bowl games either on Sunday.   The bowl schedule is full for New Year's Day with the Playoff games highlighting the first day of 2018.

This will be the first time since 2006 the league has cancelled a Sunday Night game.

Enjoy the games early on and you will have time to get out and enjoy New Year's Eve.
