Happy 23rd to Alice In Chains', "Dirt".  The album was released on this date in 1992.  Along with Pearl Jam's "Ten" and "Vs.", one of my go to albums when I was high school.

I was lucky enough to go to high school in the early 90's.  Grunge was taking off and there were classic albums from Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden and of course Alice In Chains.  "Dirt" featured the song, "Would?" which other than "Man In The Box", remains one of my favorite songs by the band.

This album starts off with a bang with the song, "Them Bones".  I still remember hearing that riff for the first time on radio. A great opener which is still one of their best.

Other classics such as "Rooster", "Angry Chair" and "Down In A Hole",  make this album the bands strongest.   Don't forget the album cuts like "Damn That River", "Sickman" and the title track.

Influential and the crowning achievement for a band that is still making great music to this day.

Happy 23rd to Alice In Chains', "Dirt"!
