Owner of Sound City Studios Dies

The man who built one of the iconic recording studios passed away, Tom Skeeter owner of Sound City Studios passed away at the age of 88. Sound City Studios is the studio that Dave Grohl's Documentary called, "Sound City" Immortalized.  The studio has seen classic albums recorded in the studio from Neil Young to Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty and Nirvana among many many others.  I have heard  a lot mentioned about the studio over the years and its Neve Console, which was one of the legendary Recording Consoles ever made. That famous console is now owned by Dave Grohl himself so was great to see the board go to someone who will continue to make music with it.  Mr. Skeeter may not be a household name but he helped build this legendary studio and helped in the creation of some legendary albums.  If you haven't seen "Sound City" check it out as it's not only one of my favorite documentary's but a good history of Recording.
