Authorities are now investigating a large fire at a playground in Springfield Monday night.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says that around 11:15pm Monday, emergency responders found the B. Carol Hinton Park on 27th St. completely engulfed in flames. The fire was eventually put out, with no injuries reported. The park is considered a total loss, with the cost of the damage unknown at this time.
