Monday, the Starchild turned 62. Paul Stanley is my favorite member of KISS (surprise, surprise), and one of my favorite frontmen in general. No one, and I mean no one, has chest hair like Stanley! I’ve been a fan since I was 12, so yeah, I guess you could say Paul Stanley is one of my idols.
As I’m writing this I’m rocking out to the Paul Stanley solo album, which is my favorite of the four solo records. Ace’s is really, really good, but there’s something magical about Paul’s. Every song on the album is up to par with anything KISS has done (ok, about 60%), and Bob Kulick’s guitar playing is stellar.
If you haven’t heard Paul’s solo album, “Tonight you Belong to Me” is by far the best track on the album. Hell, it’s one of the best Paul Stanley songs, period! I’ll put that up against any Paul/KISS song, and Bob Kulick’s guitar solo on the album will make your head explode! Fellas, take your shirt off, fluff that chest hair, pout those lips, and approach your lady and tell her, “baby, tonight you belong to me!”
