One of Michigan's greatest treasures is Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, which is in the Upper Peninsula.  The park makes an appearance in a new film called, "National Parks Adventure".

I have had the chance to visit Pictured Rocks a couple of times and it is well worth the trip.   It's amazing to think that this area is even a part of our state.  The two times I have been to the area was in the early Fall.  It was a treat to see it at that time.  I can only imagine what it looks like in the Winter.

This film looks at many features of the Pictured Rocks area during the Winter.  The group went ice climbing up a frozen waterfall and explored an ice cave.  By the looks of the trailer, they filmed some spectacular footage of the park.

Along with Pictured Rocks they visit other landmarks like Yellowstone, Glacier National Park and Yosemite.

Narrated by Robert Redford, the film opens in select Imax, Imax 3D  and other giant screen theaters today.
