If you're tired of watching The Wizard of Oz while you listen to Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon, good news: Now you can mix things up a little with screenings of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

A number of intrepid Reddit users have discovered that, like Wizard of Oz, the latest Star Wars sequel syncs up uncannily well with the Pink Floyd classic, with a number of lyrics from the album seeming to match events on screen (especially if you happen to be in a certain state of mind while you're doing all this). Even though most Dark Side lovers probably haven't tried it yet — Star Wars: The Force Awakens only hit home video last week — this might be just a laser light show away from becoming a new Floyd fan tradition.

Consequence of Sound offers a number of examples of why Dark Side and The Force Awakens go so well together, starting with an early sequence in which the movie's key villain, Kylo Ren, is torturing a Resistance pilot in order to gain information. The scene lines up with "The Great Gig in the Sky" ("I'm not afraid of dying / Anytime will do"), right up to the song's scream, which is unleashed just as Kylo's prisoner opens his mouth.

That's just the first in an impressively long list of remarkable coincidences, but don't take anyone else's word for it — go get a copy of The Force Awakens and sync it up with Dark Side yourself. Check out the first eight minutes of Floyd-enhanced Star Wars footage above.
