Battle Creek authorities are looking into another instance of fake money being used in the area.

The Enquirer reports that over the weekend, the Battle Creek Police Department learned that a cashier at a gas station in the 500 block of W. Columbia Ave. accepted over $200 in fake money.  Authorities say that it appears the cashier knew the customer.

The BCPD issued an advisory about fake $100 bills being circulated in Battle Creek last month; the bills appear realistic, but have “For Motion Picture Use Only” printed on the front and back.

No word on whether the counterfeit bills used in this latest scam are of the same variety.
