One of the great things about the Civic Theatre in Kalamazoo is their Civic Youth Theatre program. It's second to NONE in the country, and it has proven to help bring children out of their shell, help children discover talents and interests outside of school, and build lasting friendships. For the children who attend the shows as patrons, it gives them a sense that, regardless of their age, they can be part of something truly magical.  And since the CYT's shows are based around material that children are already reading or familiar with, it makes theater relatable and tangible. In the past few years, the CYT has brought Anne of Green Gables and Stuart Little to the stage.  Now it's Ramona Quimby's turn.

Running November 4th through November 12th, Beverly Cleary's boisterous and independent third grader is an absolute mess!  According to The Civic:

Her teacher hates her, her older sister Beezus is a pain, Aunt Bea is going to marry a dork, and her Dad just lost his job. But with the help of her friends, Ramona takes on life’s challenges and everyone will help cheer her on.
