Chris Cornell died last night at the age of 52.  He was currently on tour with Soundgarden in Detroit.   We remember his music and also look back to when he performed at the State Theatre in Kalamazoo.

My Wife and I were lucky enough to attend this show which was on December 6, 2011.  Chris was on his "Songbook" tour which featured Chris solo and acoustic.

I have seen Chris live before but only with Audioslave on a couple of occasions.  This show not only featured many tracks from Audioslave but also much of his solo work and even some Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog songs.

He also did a few covers which consisted of Led Zeppelin's, "Thank You".  He ended the show with John Lennon's, "Imagine" and a fantastic version of The Beatles, "A Day In The Life".

If you didn't get a chance to ever see him acoustic he released an album called, "Songbook" in 2011 that was recorded during this tour.  It features much of the same setlist that he performed in Kalamazoo.

Still one of my favorites of the shows I have seen personally at the State Theatre.  Do you remember this show?
