Rib Fest Historical Moment

I can remember my first Rib Fest like it was yesterday...OK...like it was 24 years ago.  Of, course, it wasn't anything like it is today.  We had to kill the livestock ourselves and we were stopping our cars with our feet. (WIIIILMAAAAA!!!)  From what I CAN recollect, it was held in the parking lot across from the festival site and we competed with rib sauce we created ourselves.  My secret ingredient was orange juice and I had my wife Karla dip her pinky in the sauce to give it just the right amount of added sweetness.  Anyway, local celebrities brought their potions to be judged; who the judges were I don't know.  I didn't win.  But I do remember I beat Channel 3's Cindy Dole and Judy Markee.   Wait a minute...that wasn't my first Rib Fest.  It was my first "Rib Rave"!!!  Good times...
