Sauganash Golf Club Saved

My long time friend and owner of R&R Trailers in Three Rivers stopped by this morning to give me sh#t about begging for trailers but also to tell a great story about how he and 19 other area businessman saved Sauganash Golf Club.

Usually, these stories end with buyers deciding the land is too valuable to be used as a golf course and condos or corn start popping up.  Instead, Rick and his squad decided to preserve history and renovate a nearly 100 year old golf playground.

In fact, I found out this morning that it was originally designed by A. W. Tillinghast who's responsible for some of the greatest courses in the world.  Tracks like Winged Foot, Baltusrol and Bethpage just to name a few.  I look forward to seeing all the improvements they're making as I play my first of many "comped" rounds at Sauganash.  Check out the top 10 A.W.
