The GoFundMe campaign was started by Brent Steinacker, a Wayne State student, to raise money for Officer Rose’s funeral and memorial.  The funds will be transferred to Rose’s fiancee, Nicole Salgot, at the end of the campaign.

  • A candlelight vigil starts at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday at the flag pole at the Undergraduate Library on Wayne State University’s campus. A moment of silence will take place at 6:31 p.m., marking the time Collin Rose was killed.
  • Funeral and visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday at Ford Field in Detroit.
  • A visitation and funeral Mass are planned Thursday morning at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in the Detroit suburb of St. Clair Shores.  The services are open to the public. There will then be a law enforcement procession leading to Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township where Rose will be laid to rest.
  • There will also be a memorial Mass for Officer Rose on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church at Gull Lake.
