It's no surprise that I've been to a "few" concerts over the years and, invariably, I've saved the ticket stub from every "major" one of them...but only briefly. By that I mean I save the stub thinking I should save it, ya know, for the collection. Except, I'm not a collector. I know a lot of people are and they've got their memorabilia encased and what not. If there was one show I wished I would have saved the stub it would have to be the first show I ever went to. Rush opened for Kiss at the Kenosha Ice Arena in 1975.
This morning we found out that the name of the home of the Chicago White Sox will be changing from U.S. Cellular Field to Guaranteed Rate Field starting in November. That means we can't call it "The Cell" anymore.
We are less than a week away from the first night of Ted Nugent at the State Theatre in downtown Kalamazoo and there's a rumor going around that there may be some tickets becoming available at the box office.
One of my favorite sites to check on a regular basis is ranker.com and recently they came up with the list of the sports teams with the most fanatical fans; which, I know, is redundant. But anyway... the first thing I looked for was where did Michigan and Ohio St. place on the list and, more important, who was ranked higher.
