There's still no official indication that the latest rumors regarding a reunion of the classic Guns N' Roses lineup are anywhere close to coming true, but we know at least two former members of the band have been in touch lately.

Alternative Nation reports that over the weekend, Slash and Duff McKagan ended up onstage together — sort of. The duo — along with their Velvet Revolver bandmate Dave Kushner, drummer Bill Burr and singer Franky Perez — were present at a fundraiser for the Wonderland Elementary School in Los Angeles, and they treated attendees to a brief concert.

According to a French Guns N' Roses fan site, the short set list included a cover of AC/DC's "Highway to Hell" (which you can watch above), followed by the GNR numbers "It's So Easy" (below) and "Paradise City." As the report notes, McKagan was in the area (along with another Guns veteran, drummer Matt Sorum) rehearsing for some shows in support of Alice Cooper's new Hollywood Vampires LP.

Guns N' Roses fans have clamored for a reunion of the group's Appetite for Destruction-era lineup since the '90s to no avail, and there's still really no reason to think it'll happen anytime soon (or ever), but rumors have intensified in recent weeks following Slash's admission that he and GNR frontman Axl Rose have ended their long-standing feud. With guitarist DJ Ashba officially out of the lineup and the band evidently in a state of flux, calls for a reunion have renewed — even from some of the band's former members.
