For those of you who don't know, I, Stefani Bishop, am a Tomboy.  Hoodies, Chuck Taylors, jeans, and baseball caps are pretty much my day-to-day uniform.  Allow me submit exhibit A:

That's me, lower left... not the ruggedly handsome Ramone.  We get confused for each other a lot.

Anyway, I rarely put makeup on (when I'm not onstage), so seeing me in a dress, with my hair done, and war paint smeared on my face is like a Big Foot sighting; a scant few claim to have seen it, while the rest of the population writes it off as urban legend.

This past weekend my friend Leslie married the love-of-her-life, Jason.  I was honored to be chosen to attend the ceremony and following festivities, but I knew - I just knew I was going to have to be seen.  By people.  In public.  Shudder...

After drowning a panic attack in wine and shame, I enlisted the help of local makeup artist of stage and screen, Nikki Dobos, to make a little magic happen.

Watch and see the transformation!  (And enjoy the ode to my favorite documentarian, Ken Burns, at the very end).

See?  Magic!  Nikki can do anything with powder and a brush, I swear.  I mean, look at those eyes!  I don't think they've ever looked so bright.  Thank you, Nikki Dobos for making me a lady, even if it only was for one day.
