Alex Rodriguez

It was announced on Sunday, that New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez will play his final game for the Yankees on Friday.   According to the CNN story,  A-Rod will be released from his contract and become a special adviser with the team.

Alex Rodriguez is currently suspended for the upcoming MLB season. Its been reported that the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League are open to allowing A-Rod to play for them.  He would have to get the Yankees permission to play if he's interested and if he goes to the Ducks he would be following in the footsteps of Jose Canseco, Dontrelle Willis, Armando Benitez, Carlos Baerga and Sidney Pons
