Texas Man Arrested In Michigan With Missing Ohio 13-Year-Old

A 25-year-old Texas man was arrested in Paw Paw Friday, after authorities found him with a missing girl from Ohio.

The Michigan State Police say the investigation began after they received tips from police in Hamilton, Ohio, that a missing 13-year-old girl might be in Van Buren County based on her social media postings.  Authorities believe that the Texas man had befriended the girl on Facebook, drove to her home in Ohio and picked her up, and then drove to Michigan where they two stayed at the home in Paw Paw for a week.

The girl was returned to her grandparents.

The man is awaiting arraignment in the Van Buren County Jail, on 21 felony counts, including sexual assault and solicitation of a minor for immoral purposes.
