One of my favorite comedy's on TV recently has been ABC's, "The Goldbergs".  The show takes place in the 80's and is loosely based on the life of show creator Adam F. Goldberg.

It uses many 80's themed story lines and recently they paid tribute to "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".

The episode featured the character of Barry (the best part of the show) taking a day off like Ferris.  Through out the episode there are all sorts of scenes lifted from the film.

The highlight of the episode for me was the appearance of Charlie Sheen reprising his Juvenile delinquent character.

It's a funny show and if your a fan of the 80's there are plenty of nods to films,tv shows and items of the era.  Check it out Wednesdays at 8:30 on ABC.
