Today is Elton John's 68th birthday.  I was remembering earlier today about the time I saw him live.  That was during my honeymoon in Las Vegas back in 2011.

My wife had seen him, I never have so we decided that his show would be one of the ones we see.  The Beatles "Love" Cirque Du Soleil show at the Mirage was the first big show we saw,it was fantastic.   We eventually saw  Elton's, "The Million Dollar Piano" show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace later in our week in Vegas.

As you would expect, he did many of his legendary hits.  You name it he played it.  The one thing that I really enjoyed about this show was the couple of album cuts that he played.

I can't remember exactly but I think he played a song called,"Indian Sunset" from "Madman Across The Water".  I know fans want the hits, but it's great he will throw a couple under the radar songs in the mix for the die hard fans.

The Colosseum was a great venue and I'm glad I had the chance to see Elton in the show in Vegas.  If you get the opportunity to see him anywhere make sure you do.

Happy 68th Elton and thanks for the music and the memories.
