This Weekend The Bluesmobile Brings Us The Queens Of The Blues

Join guest host C.C. Rider in The Bluesmobile as she brings us the female perspective of the blues for Mother's Day.

Present day queens will be played, including Bonnie Raitt, Mavis Staples, and Shemekia Copeland. Also the greats Ma Rainey, Bessie Smith, Memphis Minnie and Big Mama Thornton.

C.C. will also feature some ladies of tomorrow, Rhiannon Giddens, Valerie June, and Beth Hart.  New music also from former member of Saffire, Gaye Adegbalola.
