With the way the Detroit Tigers season has gone, it is a good time to start thinking about the future and check out some of their top prospects.  One of those top picks is finally making his way to West Michigan.

According to M-Live,  the Tigers top pick of 2016 Matt Manning has been promoted to the West Michigan Whitecaps.

The right handed pitcher has spent most of the season in extended spring training in Florida. Recently he was at Connecticut where he went 2-2 and had a 1.89 ERA with 36 strike outs.

Not too bad for the young prospect who is expected to see action for the Whitecaps this weekend against Lake County.

Just one of the young pitchers to keep your eye on in the Tigers organization.
