As the 2018 Detroit Tigers season wraps up by missing the playoffs once again,  eyes look to 2019 as the Spring Training schedule for next year is unveiled.

According to the Detroit Tigers, the Tigers will begin their Spring Training schedule on the road against the Blue Jays on February 23rd. This will follow their exhibition game against Southeastern on the 22nd

Their first regular spring game in Lakeland at Joker Marchant Stadium will be on February 24th against the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Tigers will play many of the usual teams in the Grapefruit league, Phillies, Blue Jays, Pirates, Rays, Mets,Yankees and Braves. The Twins, Red Sox ,Astros, Orioles and Cardinals will also be on the Spring schedule this spring.

The Yankees visit Lakeland on February 27th and March 10th.  Spring training will wrap up in St. Petersburg as the Tigers play the Rays at Tropicana Field  on March 26th.
