Tired Of The Usual Superhero Films? Check Out ‘Super’

I finally got around to watching the movie Super recently.  I found it on Netflix and decided to watch it.  If you like superhero films that are different, you should see it.

The movie came out back in 2010. It's directed by James Gunn and stars Rainn Wilson as a short order cook who eventually becomes a character called "The Crimson Bolt."  He doesn't have any powers, but eventually uses a pipe wrench as his weapon.

It has some brutal violence and reminds me a lot of the movie Kick-Ass.

The film has a pretty good cast with Rainn Wilson, Liv Tyler, Kevin Bacon, and Ellen Page.  It also features James Gunn regulars, Nathan Fillion and Michael Rooker.

James Gunn went on to make Guardians Of The Galaxy.
