Once again, Tommy Lee has teamed up with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). At Motley Crue‘s July 30 concert in Chula Vista, CA, Lee held a scavenger hunt to raise awareness of their collective fight against the SeaWorld theme parks.

Lee hid a t-shirt that read “SeaWorld Kills” somewhere in the Sleep Train Amphitheatre, and PETA tweeted out clues to help its followers find it. The finder of the shirt won backstage passes to meet the drummer. Lee has promised to follow suit at upcoming Motley Crue shows near SeaWorld parks in Texas and Florida.

“In addition to the buzz generated at the show, Tommy’s half-million Twitter followers all learned about the cruel treatment and confinement of orcas at SeaWorld, which is a huge boost to our campaign,” PETA Senior Vice President Dan Mathews said in a press release.

In 2012, Lee asked SeaWorld to not play Motley Crue songs at the “Shamu Rocks” attraction. Last year, many acts, including .38 Special, Heart and Joan Jett, canceled performances at SeaWorld in the wake of the movie ‘Blackfish,’ which documented SeaWorld’s alleged unfair treatment of animals at their parks.
