A popular and ruckus summer party spot, the Torch Lake Sandbar, in northern Michigan known for wild 4th of July events will not be held this year thanks to a judge's ruling.

the Torch Lake Protection Alliance, on Tuesday confirmed the court consent judgment ruling from 46th Circuit Court Judge George Mertz barring Beatbox Beverages from hosting, organizing, promoting or sponsoring parties on the Torch Lake sandbar for the next five years.

The bash attracted more than 10,000 partiers during the Fourth of July weekend in 2015 during which time authorities said they arrested or ticketed more than 180 people and responded to 62 medical calls at the site.

The 2015 event drew an estimated 10,000 party-goers which caused the Torch Lake Protection Alliance to file the lawsuit.
