Trying Something New in Battle Creek

There is always a place that you hear about but for whatever reason you never go to.  This past Saturday my wife and I finally got to check out Captain Luey's Calabash Seafood in Battle Creek.   We have both heard about it, just for whatever reason have never gone there.   We finally got around and went there Saturday Night.   There are Original or Salt and Pepper with the Calabash style and I tried my meal with the Salt and Pepper style.    I had the Catfish and Jumbo Shrimp with Garlic Mashed Pototoes.   I like Catfish and this was great style to enjoy Catfish.  My wife had a combo plate of Clams and popcorn shrimp with French Fries. We both had a side of Hush Puppies as well.  Believe it or not it was the first time my wife says she ever had them.  We Both enjoyed our meals!

The restaurant has been around since 2002, and I was glad that I had the chance to finally go there.  It was new to us and I can say that I will try to go there more often.  If your a fan of Seafood and haven't tried them make an effort to check them out.
