There have been lots of new music releases of late. If you are looking for some new music to check out two of my current favorites have been, The Hollywood Vampires and Pop Evil's latest "Up".Hollywood Vampires is the name of the album that features Alice Cooper saluting his old drinking buddies. The album has a couple of new tracks, but also features some great covers of songs by The Doors,Led Zeppelin,John Lennon, T-Rex, Badfinger, Harry Nilsson and even a new version of "School's Out" featuring Alice with Brian Johnson of AC/DC.

Alice Cooper sings lead on most of the tracks. He is joined by a ton of guest. Joe Perry, Johnny Depp, Dave Grohl, Perry Farrell, Paul McCartney even the late Christopher Lee does a voice over. This album reminds me of classic Alice straight out of the sunset strip. I can see why they played their first show at the Roxy. A great tribute album that was a fun listen.

Another one of my current favorites is the new Pop Evil album, "Up". You have heard "Footsteps", which is a great album opener. I remember the first time I heard it when Chachi played it on his cell phone for Ramone, Stefani and I in the studio.   I liked it then and knew it was going to be big for them.

There are some other great tracks on this album. "In Disarray", "Dead In The Water" and my favorite, "Ghost of Muskegon". The band recorded "Up" in Seattle with producer Adam Kasper, who has worked with Pearl Jam,Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, Queens Of The Stone Age.  I've enjoyed all their albums so far and this is the best they've done yet.

Two of the latest releases that I've been listening to. Pick them up this weekend and check them out.
