One of the great beards in the sport of hockey is sported by Joe Thornton of the Sharks.  Recently before the opening face off of the game, Thornton and Nasem Kadri of the Maple Leafs dropped the gloves.

Usually in a hockey fight there are punches thrown and a lot of tugging on jerseys.  You usually don't see beard pulling.  Kadri not only tugged on Joe Thornton's beard, but he actually ripped off a clump of his beard during the fight.

I'm surprised I haven't seen more of this in a game.  Especially since many players in the NHL sport long beards through out the season.   Normally many grow long beards during the playoffs but you usually don't see fights in the playoffs.

Watch for the clump of hair from the beard at the end of the fight.
