Last night was the first regular season game at the brand new Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.  If you missed it, watch the pregame ceremony before the first game.

The Detroit Red Wings hosted the Minnesota Wild and before the game the team showed off the new ice with some cool video graphics that showed off the history of the team.  It featured a look back at many of the legends and players that helped make up the Red Wings over the years.

The huge new scoreboard was also highlighted showing off clips leading up to the first game.

They also used the ice to show off the players during the team intros.   The NBC telecast didn't show most of the ceremony, so if you want to see the team announced before their first game you can see the video.

The Red Wings ended up winning the game 4-2.   A great way to open up the regular season in the brand new arena.
