We’ve Become Outraged First, Ask Questions Later
We all jump to conclusions. It's human nature. I do it and most of the time it's because I'm lazy and don't get all the facts. Well, this is becoming the rule rather than the exception caused by and then fueled by social media.
The latest instance, as reported by our friends at WWMT, had to do with what somebody saw on a restaurant wall and jumped to conclusions, lit the fire on social media and created an "outraged first, ask questions later" scenerio. Julianna's Restaurant had a black & white picture on the wall featuring people dressed as the Blue Man Group for Halloween and someone thought it was a racist depiction of "black face". Needless to say the social media's hair caught on fire and we almost had violence erupt. Let this be a lesson.
