It is always interesting when bands or artist decide to revisit their past and re-imagine songs.  Whitesnake is doing this with the release of their upcoming album called, "The Purple Album".

The album  features Deep Purple songs from the time that David Coverdale was in the band.   One of my favorite tracks from that time period is the song, "Burn" from the album, "Burn".  I've always enjoyed  David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes's singing on that song very powerful.

Now comes the re-imagined version from Whitesnake.  Nothing will ever top the original version.  This version isn't as bad as I thought it would be, just wish it had more punch to it.

What do you think?

"The Purple Album" from Whitesnake is out on May 19th.
