William U. Parfet Resigns Amid Lawsuit, Accusations
William U. Parfet has resigned from the Board of Directors of Stryker Corporation, effective immediately, the company said Wednesday afternoon, according to WWMT.
The resignation comes amid accusations made by a former employee of MPI Research, of which Parfet was president until January of 2016, when he retired. In a federal suit filed in San Jose, California, the plaintiff alleges sexual discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination and retaliation. She claims Parfet fathered her two sons and refuses to pay support.
Parfet is the great grandson of Upjohn Company founder W. E. Upjohn.
