It looks like the Kalamazoo Wings will have some help on some calls this season as they will be one of four teams to be testing out video replay in the ECHL.

The ECHL announced that Wings Event Center along with arenas in Boise,Toledo and Worcester will have instant replay available at games for the upcoming season.

The replay will be used at the referee's discretion.   It can be used for whether pucks cross the goal line.  If the puck enters the net with a distinct kicking motion.

If the puck is batted or thrown into the net by attacking player.   It can also determine if the puck crosses the net before the goal is dislodged.

The league hopes that the testing will allow the league to use the replay in all markets in the future.

The K-Wings will play a pair of preseason games against the Toledo Walleye this weekend. They start their regular season schedule against the Indy Fuel on October 13th.

The first home game at Wings Event Center will be on October 19th against the Ft. Wayne Komets.

Tickets available at Wings Event Center box office.  You can get more details on the K-Wings and their season schedule here.
