A promotional organization, The West Michigan Tourist Association, has gathered a list of some out of the ordinary places to celebrate your wedding day.

"Elegance in the country. Book a tour of The Silo wedding ceremony and reception venue, located in Allegan. The Silo is a fully-staffed modern facility with a rustic barn exterior. Capacity is 300, with a gorgeous ballroom, balcony, bridal suite, pond, and gazebo on 20 acres, as well as a wedding coordinator on site."

Maybe "a day of historical romance at the W.K. Kellogg Manor House in Hickory Corners. The W.K. Kellogg Manor House is the former estate of the Kellogg Company founder. The Manor House is located on beautiful Gull Lake and features manicured gardens, surrounded by a natural landscape of unique plants and trees. The Manor House has been restored to its original grandeur and offers indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception locations, including the stately Manor House and the pagoda garden on the lake. The House is also available for rehearsal dinners."

Those "looking for a one-of-a-kind setting for their wedding should consider the Carlton Center Church at Historic Charlton Park in Hastings. Built in 1885, this Gothic Revival church is a beautiful setting for a traditional wedding. The Park also has several covered pavilions with modern amenities and wooded areas for use."

Another non-traditional site might be Salt of the Earth in Fennville, whose calling card is farm-to-table food, a Salt of the Earth wedding reception often takes on the character of the best farm dinner you can imagine.

Here's another unique option, the Michigan Flywheelers Museum South Haven. Located on close to 80 beautiful acres dotted with wooded areas, colorful flower gardens and buildings that represent the 1920s era, you can take a step back into a time for an experience that is like no other.

And, of course, one of the more popular Kalamazoo choices is the historic Henderson Castle. If your day is a little further off, then save the date for the 2016 Henderson Castle Luxury Wedding Showcase on Sunday, September 18th to check this venue.
