World Champion United States Women’s National Team To Play In Detroit

According to U.S. Soccer, The Women's World Cup Champion U.S. Women's National Team will play a match in Detroit This September.

The team will play Australia as part of a 10 match tour to celebrate the title.

The game will take place at Ford Field in Detroit on Thursday, September 17th.  The friendly will also be televised on Fox Sports 1.

The two teams met in the World Cup in group play with the U.S. getting the 3-1 victory.

No word on the roster but it should be most of the players who led the team to the World Cup.
