Opening Day For The Chicago Cubs is a few weeks away and construction continues on improvements to the legendary stadium.   With everything going on it will be ready for game play April 9th. 

According to Yahoo Sports,  construction continues at Wrigley Field.   Currently structural improvements along with renovations of the lower seating are being completed for the start of the season.

Opening day will also see expanded concessions and the opening of the new 1914 club.

The Cubs are coming off a season of losing to the L.A. Dodgers in the National League Championship series 4 games to 1.

This upcoming season will begin for the Cubs on March 29th in Miami against the Marlins.   Opening day will be on April 9th against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

This year Wrigley Field will once again host a few big concerts.   The shows include, Def Leppard and Journey on July 14th, Foo Fighters July 29th and 30th,  Pearl Jam on August 18th and 20th and Billy Joel on September 7th among others.
