It was announced on Sunday, that New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez will play his final game for the Yankees on Friday.   According to the CNN story,  A-Rod will be released from his contract and become a special adviser with the team.

Love him or hate him he was one of the top players in the game since he made his debut for The Seattle Mariners in 1994.   He went on to play for the Texas Rangers and The New York Yankees.

He achieved quite a few milestones having over 3,000 hits and being one of the all time home run hitters in the history of the game.  Those achievements will be forever tarnished as he will be known for his use of performance enhancing drugs admitting use in 2013.
