When I read this story from the Detroit Free Press I wasn't sure what to make of it. I understand the reasoning behind what Portage resident Joel Crookston did but I'm not sure the extent to which he tried to make his point was worth it.  Now, I'm all for defending the 1st Amendment.  It's the only way I can do my job the way I do.  But if it were me, I'm not sure I would have taken it as far as he did for the reasons given.  Maybe the "why" is more important than the "what"!

Is it just the principle of the thing?.  Does the end justify the means?  Or, in this case, maybe the question is: does the means justify the end?  At any rate, I do commend Joel for his passion and commitment and find myself envious of it.  You be the judge.  Click HERE to read all about it.
